Onhand

Your household’s information, on your own machine.

Insurance policies and what they actually cover. VIN numbers, tire sizes and oil types. Where the Social Security cards physically are. When cards expire, when the roof was replaced, what size the front windows are, and whether you have blown this month’s grocery budget.

It exists because this information is only ever needed at the worst possible moment — at a tire shop, on the phone with an adjuster, in an emergency room — and that is exactly when nobody can find it.

Onhand runs on your own computer. There is no cloud account, no telemetry, and no outbound network connection of any kind.

Nothing leaves your computer

Onhand is local software, not a service. Sensitive fields are encrypted individually with AES-256-GCM, and the most sensitive tier — Social Security numbers, full card numbers, CVVs, PINs, bank and routing numbers — stays sealed unless you have re-entered your master password in the last few minutes. Outside that window the running process genuinely cannot decrypt them. That is a cryptographic property, not a checkbox.

$69.95Once, per household. No subscription, no account, no renewal.

A 14-day trial runs with everything unlocked. When it ends, Onhand becomes read-only — everything stays visible, searchable and exportable. It never locks you out of your own records.

  • Insurance that answers the question

Auto, home, health, dental, vision, life, umbrella, flood and pet — policy and member numbers, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, renewal dates, claims contacts, and the per-line coverage and exclusions you need mid-call with an adjuster.

  • The vehicle specs nobody memorises

VIN, plate, registration expiry, tire sizes and pressures, oil type and capacity, filters, battery group, wiper and bulb sizes — plus service history with next-due tracking.

  • Home records and measurements

Roof, HVAC, water heater and window records with install dates, warranties, contractors and costs — down to the window and door measurements for when you need to order one.

  • Where things actually are

“Fireproof box, bedroom closet.” Onhand indexes where documents live, physically or on disk. It never moves or copies your files.

  • Cards, budgets and one reminder list

Issuers, last four and expiry dates with full numbers sealed; monthly budgets with CSV import and overspend warnings; and one ranked list of every renewal, registration, warranty and service coming due.

  • Scan a card, keep the photo

Photograph an insurance card or the tire placard in your door jamb and the fields fill themselves in. OCR runs in your browser via WebAssembly — the image is never uploaded, not even to your own Onhand.

  • On your phone, offline

An encrypted read-only pocket copy opens with no connection at all — for the roadside and the hospital basement. It deliberately excludes sealed data, expires after 14 days, and erases itself after ten wrong passwords.

  • Search that reaches inside the encryption

One box across every module, including encrypted fields, tolerant of punctuation — 235/55R19 finds 235 55 R19, and a partial VIN finds the whole one.

Why us

Enterprise capability, small business economics

Most agencies that can build this are priced for companies with a procurement department. Most that you can afford cannot build it. We sit deliberately in between.

Fixed price, fixed scope

You get a number before we start and that number holds. No hourly billing, no change-order games.

Weeks, not quarters

Most engagements ship something usable inside a month. Long projects are broken into pieces that each stand on their own.

One team, eight disciplines

The same people handle your automation, your CRM and your website, so the pieces actually talk to each other.

More about how we work

How an engagement runs

  1. Discovery call

Thirty minutes, no charge, no deck. We ask what is slow, what is manual and what it costs you — and we will tell you plainly if software is not the answer.

  2. Audit and proposal

We map the workflow, quantify the hours and dollars on the table, and come back with a fixed-price plan. If the numbers do not justify the work, we say so.

  3. Build in the open

Weekly demos of working software, never status slides. You steer as it takes shape, and there are no surprises at handover.

  4. Launch and hand over

We train your team, document everything and hand you the keys — your accounts, your code, your data. Support afterwards is a choice, not a lock-in.

Next step

Let’s find the hours hiding in your business

A free 30-minute audit. We look at how you actually work, tell you what is worth automating, and give you a number. No deck, no pressure.
